Notes on the
musical staff are either line notes

| In the figure below you can see the names of the four space notes on the treble clef. They spell the word F A C E. That is how most people remember the space note names. | ||

| In the next illustration you see the names of the five line notes on the treble clef. Going from the bottom to the top, the names of the notes are E G B D F. That doesn't spell anything. Most people learn these notes with the following phrase, "Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge". | ||
