The Song Videos

Here are videos of simple songs that will introduce the notes on the recorder. I use these videos with a projector in my classroom, and I encourage students to play along at home.

The first song, "Echo A" is a New Age type call and response song designed to help students get the fundamentals of tonguing, breath support and hand position down. Teachers can play the call and students can play the response, each is one measure in lenghth. The rhythms are meant to be played, not read, by students. It's a great piece.

Practice Low E, Practice Low D, and Practice F# are just etudes on one note. The practice F# piece introduces dotted half notes.
